![]() ![]() Above the water are some pipes, one of which is leaking, and caused the pool of water to collect there. Across from the QBRM is a pool of water with some crates sitting in it, their tops just above the water. I believe when you first enter the hallway above and in front of it, a couple of assassins come to kill you, and there's a pile of worms on the floor. ![]() You know where the only QBRM on the Command Deck of the VB is? It's down a ladder next to a security terminal and is guarded by a hard-to-reach-with-a-melee-weapon security camera. Already it isn't drawing everything in view in there, because there's just too much for it to handle.) Īny other voids/holes like this one? (None that I have found.)Actually, there is one. ![]() (I still keep waiting for the poor 3D engine to crap out and crash on me. they'd run in fear if they saw MY mass down in med/sci. So to prevent them from disappearing, I've been repairing every single shotgun I can get, so that I can add them all to my collection down in med/sci. Īlso it irritates me that broken guns from the hybrids will disappear if you empty them of ammo, and then drop the gun on the ground. Takes a few trips up 'n down in the elevator to totally clean it out. If I empty the elevator in med/sci and go back up to the level where I was last, suddenly a whole bunch of objects may appear in the elevator which didn't make the transistion down to med/sci. Sometimes the elevator doors will get stuck open because stuff is wedged into the wall.Īnd sometimes stuff gets "left behind" from the level transistion. Though it seems the engine doesn't always handle the huge number of objects in that tiny space correctly. So I usually drop a huge pule o' stuff in there then take a trip back to med/sci to empty out the elevator. I like the fact that stuff dropped in the elevator or in those "map transistion rooms" will migrate with you to the next area. Is there a way to fly or noclip in this game? In the worst case, if flying is simply not possible, then I suppose I could summon a whole bunch of crates in this hole, jump up on top of them, summon some more crates, etc, and climb my way out. I was an idiot and forgot to save the game after 3 hours of collecting shit, and I really don't want to start over. If this were a normal game I'd be dead instantly but undead I'm just standing down there. īut alas on one of my gathering runs, I fell down a hole by the escape pods where those two people escape the ship. I try not to look down when dropping stuff from the catwalk, because the engine's framerate immediately goes straight to hell as it tries to render some 500 or so objects lying on the floor below me. So anyway I'm playing in "Undead" mode, because I really don't care to bother with every monkey or cyborg I pass by, while I'm collecting all the plants, cigarettes, magazines, grub pods, coffee cups, and everything else that I can manage pick up on the Rickenbaker and Von Braun. SS2 is interesting in that objects will pile up on top of each other in a huge heap rather than "falling through each other" - as objects do some other, "less well-written" 3D games. I've played System Shock 2 to death, so I've instead embarked on this silly excursion to see how full I can pack that room with crap I can find lying around. I'm collecting everything that I can possibly pick up, and then I'm dropping it in that big room with the suspended catwalk in Med/Sci where you start the game. I've been playing a "packrat" game of SS2. ![]()
